The thrilling finale to the New York Times bestselling Young Elites series from “hit factory” Marie Lu.

There was once a time when darkness shrouded the world, and the darkness had a queen.

Adelina Amouteru is done suffering. She’s turned her back on those who have betrayed her and achieved the ultimate revenge: victory. Her reign as the White Wolf has been a triumphant one, but with each conquest her cruelty only grows. The darkness within her has begun to spiral out of control, threatening to destroy all that she’s achieved.

Adelina’s forced to revisit old wounds when a new danger appears, putting not only Adelina at risk, but every Elite and the very world they live in. In order to save herself and preserve her empire, Adelina and her Roses must join the Daggers on a perilous quest—though this uneasy alliance may prove to be the real danger.

Bestselling author Marie Lu concludes Adelina's story with this haunting and hypnotizing final installment to the Young Elites series

A Midnight Star 5/5 Star Review:

WOWOWOW!Since this is the final book in the series I will just share a few of my very very powerful spoiler free feelings. This is one that you just want to go in and experience on your own. This series went down a very cool spiral of darkness and continued to surprise me in the direction it went. The Young Elites was dark, but The Rose Society was so much darker. And Marie Lu threw so many things in there that I no longer had any sense of where the series would go.

So when I started The Midnight Star, I had so many questions, zero idea how everything would tie up, and high expectations. It seemed like each of the characters were locked in a specific character arc, and I couldn’t see how it would resolve.

Then when things started to really go down, I could feel this tiny little bubble of disappointment starting to form in my chest. haha. So you could say that I was totally blindsided by the tears that started dripping down my face during this finale.

My favorite part of each book is coming to the part where the title make sense. The second the meaning of this one is written, I got a little chill. haha. Absolutely perfect.

Marie Lu is brutal and brilliant. The way this series tied up just felt right. It was the ending I didn’t know I wanted. I still have a few tears threatening as I write this. ha.

If I could compare this particular book to anything, I would say that I could compare it a bit to the Grishaverse as well as a bit of Percy Jackson, all while being completely it’s own thing.

What I loved immensely about this is how vivid and clear each scene was. Without overdoing it, or feeling cumbersome, the descriptions of each moment and scene just bloomed up easily in my mind. Just some really cool imagery.

Marie Lu is an author that I feel like I can recommend to anyone. There is lot of action, great characters, an amazing world, thought provoking direction on moral compass, and is PG on romance.

Anyway, this is as spoiler free as I can get without wanting to say all the things. Very well done series finale, very well done series. It’s a solid favorite of mine and I’ll recommend it to anyone.
